Unaccompanied minors

For international flights:

Children aged 5 up to (but not including) 16 years old who are not accompanied by an adult are considered Unaccompanied Minors (UMNR), and the UMNR service is mandatory. Boarding is permitted only with an authentic notarized consent from both parents or the legal guardian.

Romanian citizens aged 16 up to (but not including) 18 years old may travel alone only under the following conditions:

• if they hold a notarized declaration from both parents or the legal guardian, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions;
• without such declaration, only if they have their official domicile or residence in the destination country.

For domestic flights (within Romania):

For domestic flights (within Romania), for children aged 5 to 16 years, the UMNR service is mandatory. For passengers aged 16 up to (but not including) 18 years, AnimaWings provides the UMNR service only upon written request from the parents or legal guardian (with authentic notarized consent).

UMNR Service Conditions

• The UMNR service is not available for children under 5 years of age.
• A fee of EUR 65 per one-way journey applies for the UMNR service, where the service is mandatory or requested by a parent or legal guardian.
• Parents or legal guardians are responsible for ensuring that the minor has all required travel documents and must complete and sign the relevant UMNR form at the airport.
• At departure, the parent, legal guardian or authorized adult accompanying the minor must remain at the airport until the flight has departed.
• Upon arrival, the minor must be collected by the designated authorized adult, who must be present at the airport at the actual arrival time of the flight.
