Dangerous Goods
Prohibited articles and dangerous goods
For reasons of safety and security, Animawings passengers are advised that the following substances, materials, and items are prohibited from being carried on board:
- Any substances or devices, marked or known to be part of the category of explosive, flammable and/or incendiary materials. Examples: gases and gas containers, acetone, flammable fuels such as: petrol, diesel, lighter fuel, alcohol, ethanol; pyrotechnic materials, paint-based materials, thinners, copies and imitations of explosive materials or devices, plastic explosives, materials presenting a risk of spontaneous ignition or combustion, alcoholic beverages and/or liquids with an alcohol volume of more than 70%.
- Any substance marked or known to be toxic or chemical or to produce dangerous chemical reactions. Examples: poisons, alkaline acids, corrosive and bleaching substances (mercury, chlorine), radioactive materials, etc.
- Any materials marked or known to be infectious or biological hazards. Examples: viruses, bacteria, infected blood, etc.
- Firearms and other categories of weapons (e.g. sharp and/or edged edged weapons).
- Any kind of self-balancing devices.
- Smart backpacks or trolleys with non-removable batteries containing more than 0.3g in the case of nickel-metal hydride or 2.7 Wh in the case of lithium-ion.
- Other electronic equipment or devices with non-removable lithium batteries or lithium batteries containing more than 0.3g of lithium.
*In the case of backpacks or smart trolleys with removable batteries, the battery must be removed and carried on board the aircraft in hand baggage.
We would also ask the Animawings passengers to consider the conditions of carriage for the following categories of items:
Food in liquid or semi-solid form. Be properly packaged and carried in checked baggage. Animawings passengers are requested to consult the regulations restricting the import of food products in force in the transit/destination country.
FRAGILE ITEMS
If you are carrying fragile items, please pack them properly and take into account that they are carried at your own risk. When handing over your baggage, you will be informed of this and will be asked to fill in the "Limited Liability Release" form whereby you exonerate Animawings from any damage to these types of objects during the period that the baggage is in its custody.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES
The carriage of certain electronic devices is permitted and is subject to the following conditions:
ACCEPTED BATTERY CATEGORIES:
- Spare/liberal batteries (External batteries fall under the spare battery category); Lithium batteries; Lithium-ion batteries; Nickel-metal hydride batteries; Dry cell batteries intended for use in portable electronic devices - maximum of 20 spare batteries/passenger with a rated power of up to 100 Wh or with a Lithium content of up to 2g.
- Sealed batteries - a maximum of two spare batteries/passenger up to 12 V and with a power rating of less than 100Wh
Only with an exemption from Animawings (request must be made in advance to: customerservice@animawings.com) is the carriage of portable electronic devices and spare Lithium batteries with a nominal power of up to 160 Whs or with a Lithium content of up to 8g allowed.
This list is not exhaustive and is subject to change and additions in accordance with the provisions and indications specified by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) "Technical Instructions for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air", those specified by the International Air Carrier Association (IATA), Animawings internal regulations, as well as those prohibited by legislation, rules or orders in force of the States of transit and/or destination.

Note: Other objects and/or substances may not be accepted on board or in the hold of Animawings' aircraft if Animawings representatives or Airport staff consider them a danger or threat.
