The newest airline in Romania is celebrating one year of flights
On July 18, 2020, Animawings operated its first flight from Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport, being the first company certified during the Covid 19 pandemic and thus becoming the youngest airline in Romania.
So far, Animawings aircraft have operated a total of 1,074 flights, arriving in 36 destinations in Tanzania, Greece, Egypt, Turkey or Spain, departing from airports in Bucharest, Arad, Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Targu -Mureș, Sibiu, Oradea, Iași, Craiova and Baia Mare. Animawings crews amassed a total of 2708 flight hours in this first year of the company.
"This result could not have been achieved without the enthusiasm and dedication of the entire Animawings team, as well as the trust of our passengers and partners. With Animawings, new quality standards have been set on the Romanian tourist aviation market. Together with our partners, Aegean Airlines, we are confident that we will succeed in transforming Animawings into the first travel option for Romanians,” said Tudor Constantinescu, Chief Commercial Officer at Animawings.
To mark this anniversary, Animawings organized several events for passengers traveling on July 18, 2021, both at Otopeni Airport and during flights.
