• Watch out for corals! Don't step on them or touch them! Aside from the fact that you can be seriously injured because they are sharp, some of them are dangerous. In fact, their collection is strictly forbidden.
• In the Maldives the US dollar is a strong currency, so it is possible to make certain purchases directly in dollars.
• The Maldives is a predominantly Muslim state, which is why alcohol is banned. The only bars that serve alcohol are in hotels.
• The language spoken is Dhivehi, a combined dialect of Arabic and English.
• The capital Male is among the smallest in the world, both in terms of population and size. Unlike the islands, it is a city of tall buildings and paved roads. There are no beaches here, and architecturally, the Islamic Center is the most representative place in Male
• Medicines needed for travel should be purchased from the country, because a pharmacy is not very easy to find in the Maldives.
• Nudism is strictly forbidden!
• For transfers it is good to negotiate with the owner of a fast boat or a dhoni (wooden boat) to get a better rate.
• The National Museum is hosted by the Sultan's Palace or more precisely by the Palace Garden and is a three-storey Edwardian colonial style building. It contains primarily an impressive collection of objects that have belonged to the sultans over time.
• A visit to this museum is a foray into the history of the place.
• Fish and seafood are abundant on the island.

This is the main international airport in the Maldives, located on Hulhule Island in the North Male Atoll, near the capital Male.
