Animawings flights are always pleasant and comfortable. As soon as the aircraft has taken off and reaches safe flight altitude, our helpful crew will begin service on board with soft drinks and water. These are part of our included services. Luggage

We don't want you to worry too much about your luggage when planning a trip. Therefore, each Animawings passenger can carry a small hand luggage on board. Find out about luggage dimension and weight below. Our passengers can also bring on board products from duty free shops purchased at the airport. Additional luggage will be stored in the hold of the aircraft for a fee. Each passenger can check-in a maximum of four bags in the hold of the aircraft (hand luggage will be counted separately). 

Small carry-on bag

SMALL HAND LUGGAGE must:

  • weigh a maximum of 4 kg
  • have maximum dimensions of 40cm x 28cm x 20cm (Height x Depth x Width)
  • not contain prohibited objects and/or substances
  • can be stored under the front seat

Carry-on bag

To be considered hand luggage, your bag must:
  • weigh 12 kg or less
  • have maximum dimensions of 56cm x 45cm x 25cm
  • not contain prohibited objects and / or substances
  • always be stored in the overhead lockers

Checked-in luggage

Your checked-in luggage must:
  • weigh up to maximum 23 kg
  • have maximum dimensions of 100cm x 80cm x 30cm
  • not contain prohibited objects and / or substances
  • We advise you not to carry valuables or fragile items in your checked-in luggage

Musical instruments and sports equipment

Each passenger can bring on board, in the cabin, a musical instrument, if it has maximum dimensions of 80cm x 40cm x 23cm and if the weight does not exceed 10 kg. Musical instruments will be considered hand luggage. A heavier or larger instrument can only be carried in the cabin if a seat is booked for it. Musical instruments can also be transported in the hold of the aircraft, at the risk of the passenger.

Sports equipment can be stored and transported in the hold of the aircraft, for a fee. For safety reasons, we can only accept the following types of sports equipment: snowboards, skis, surfing equipment, diving equipment, only with completely emptied cylinders, no power sources and all switches in the "OFF" position, golf bags, bicycles in cardboard packaging, with deflated tires. Packaging required for transportation will not be provided by Animawings.

Assistance for people with reduced mobility

If you are unable to move on your own, get out of the seat without assistance, leave the aircraft in case of an emergency without assistance, communicate with crew members on safety issues, fasten or open your seat belt, put on a life jacket or oxygen mask, you must be escorted by an adult and capable person. The person escorting you must be over 16 years old and be physically able to help you in an emergency. We will do our best to ensure that this person travels in the seat next to you.

Disabled passengers and passengers with special needs
In line with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2006, our partners provide a wide range of facilities for disabled and reduced mobility passengers in the airport.
Passengers are considered disabled when their physical, medical or mental condition requires individual attention
(on embarking and disembarking, during flight, in an emergency evacuation, during ground handling) that is not normally extended to other passengers.

Disabled passengers are passengers who:
  • use wheelchairs
  • live with visual or hearing impairments
  • travel with guide dogs
Passengers with special needs are considered those who are:
  • pregnant
  • travelling with a broken leg
  • travelling with mobility equipment
  • affected by a contagious disease
  • using medicine or medical equipment
  • in need of extra oxygen for medical reasons

Wheelchairs

Two mobility equipment items can be checked-in or taken on board free of charge.
All passengers are required to pre-book the wheelchair in order to avoid any inconvenience in the airport.

Batteries

Only manual wheelchairs and dry cell, non-spillable battery-powered wheelchairs are accepted,
provided that the terminals are insulated to prevent accidental short circuits.
The battery must be securely attached to the wheelchair.

Dimensions

If your wheelchair is not foldable, please provide the dimensions to our Call Centre.

Assistance

To make sure that you are comfortable, our handling agent will provide assistance during
the check-in procedure and baggage drop-off.
You will be assisted to the gate, through security and on board.
Most often you will be seated in a window seat.
Please note that our cabin crew cannot provide assistance with drinks, meals or medication,
but they will help you in moving from your seat to the toilet facilities, if required.

Facilities

Unfortunately, the company cannot provide wheelchairs on board the aircraft. Each passenger must have their own mobility equipment.

Limitation

We can receive up to 28 passengers with disabilities on board for each flight, taking into account that a maximum of 10 wheelchair passengers can be transported from check-in to the plane, in the same aircraft.

Passengers with visual and / or hearing impairments

 We provide assistance for people with visual and / or hearing impairments during the check-in process, in the security process and at the boarding gate.

These passengers will be boarded with priority, and the crew will provide assistance with luggage storage and seating.

People traveling with companion dogs

In accordance with national and international law, companion dogs will travel on board at no additional cost,

when accompanying persons with disabilities on flights within and outside the European Union.

A person can only be accompanied by a dog, and the dog cannot sit on a chair.

Please mention that you will be traveling with a companion dog, from the moment you book your ticket, by e-mail or telephone.

You will need to provide us with the following documents no later than 48 hours before the flight:

  • Certificate of companion dog
  • Any kind of documentation required by the laws and regulations of the country you are traveling to

No other type of animal will be received on board the aircraft. Emotional support animals cannot travel on Animawings flights.

Pregnant women

For safety reasons, pregnant women can travel only up to the 34th week of pregnancy.
We would kindly ask you to provide a medical certificate confirming that you are fit to travel by air.
Please note that the medical certificate must be issued within 72 hours prior departure's date and should be valid for the entire travel period. 

Passengers with contagious diseases

If you have a contagious disease or any other condition requiring medical care,
you need a medical certificate confirming you are fit to travel by air.
The medical certificate must be issued within 6 days of your flight’s date.

We cannot be liable for any injuries,
deterioration of health conditions suffered by passenger during flight,
due to such conditions.

Please contact us through email or phone at least 48 hours
prior to the scheduled departure of the flight.

Peanut and nut allergy

Please be advised that we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment during the flight

as other passengers may bring allergenic foods on board.

Therefore, we recommend that you have with you medicines that control allergic reactions

(epinephrine, antihistamines, etc.), but also adequate food.

Once on board, inform crew members about your allergies.

Travelling with pets

Animawings will allow onboard small sized animals, cats and dogs,
of up to 8 kg including the cage or soft sided carrier (in the cabin).
Formalities are simple,

however we recommend you to respect the compulsory European norms:
  • The pet should have a microchip implanted under the skin
  • You need to present the pet's health card
  • The pet must have a passport issued by the vet
  • An up-to-date rabies shot is needed

Your pet must be transported in an IATA certified cage,
which should not be larger than 45 x 30 x 23 cm for cabin transport.
When travelling with your pet in the cabin,

you’re going to deposit the cage with the pet under the seat in front of you

and you will be seated in the last rows of the plane.

Travelling with pets

  Animawings will allow onboard small sized animals, cats and dogs, of up to 8kg including the cage or soft sided carrier (in the cabin).
Please refere to the additional services price list for the extracost related to the PETS transportation.

For safety reasons, if you have two (or more) pets, you can only transport one in the cabin with you.

Peanut and nut allergy

 Please be advised that we cannot guarantee a peanut-free aircraft as other passengers may bring their own peanut products on board.
We therefore recommend that you bring allergy control medicine with you on board (such as an EpiPen, antihistamines, etc.)
and you may take your own food with you as well. If you need additional information, please contact our Call Centre.
Once on board, please make the crew aware about your allergies.

Restricted items

For safety and security reasons, the following items* will not be accepted on board:

  • Any substances marked or known as flammable or highly combustible: ammunition, gases, gas containers, acetone, fuels, fireworks, etc.
  • Any substances marked as chemical or toxic: poisons, radioactive materials, alkalis, acids, defensive sprays, corrosive and/or bleaching materials, etc.<
  • Hazardous biological material: blood, viruses, bacteria, etc.
  • Firearms and other weapons
  • Blunt objects: baseball bats, batons, etc.
